To complete a picture, I've recently noticed
that subtle details can make a big difference..
Such as, this happy red checkerboard tablecloth.
It seems to add that signature touch to the Italian restaurant..
or bright yellow joints that transform this heavy metal screen
into a delicate piece of jewellry...
or lush green vines that adorn this lovely house,
juxtaposing composite colours in real life..
and Utzon's bland round lamps... almost unnoticed during the day,
but at night provides that magical glow for our harbour..

hey I love the blue and yellow gate - where did you find it?
Also, did not know that the lamps were Utzon's as well? I went to the opera house the other day and from the inside, the whole thing is like made of cement slabs?! Insane, have no idea how they managed to pull it off but it's amazing that it's so timelessly beautiful.
helloo heath~ hehe yeha so true :D what u said is so truee :D yea it's made of concreteee because concrete can be molded into any shape... yea I'm not sure if he desinged the lamps himself but he purposely placed them there.. im pretty sure he designed them tho.. i guess he was trying to create the whole experience for the viewer~ yeaa so fortunate we have the opera house in sydneyy
