Dewey Discoveries in weekends

Hello Deweyers,
I've come to love weekends :)
They're so precious and relaxing, I wish they never ended!
Here are some weekend images:

What a lovely lounge room, wouldn't mind reading
'Anne of Green Gables' for the whole day here :)

A day out to the food markets for some
fresh fruits and vegetables would be wonderful :)

I imagine this is how they would've spent
the weekends in the 1920's, so picturesque!

'Everyone seems normal until you get to know them'
How true and wonderful! The beauty of life methinks :)

Have a lovely weekends dear deweyers!

Youtube Tuesday

Hello Deweyers,
It's been a while but here's a youtube Tuesday video :)

Hope you enjoyed,
Have a lovely week!

Unveiling Deweys in Excessivity (if that's a word)

Hello Dear Deweyers :)
It's the start of another week, how time seems to pass so quickly!
Hope the start of your week was as smooth and swift like an hang glider :)

As an amateur designer I think I've discovered that simple design
is the safest way to go and that 'less is more'.
However when excessive and over-the-top decoration is done 'well',
it can look a lot better than an adequately designed space.
Here is a beautiful example, the interiors of the Versailles palace in France.

the mirror room decorated ever so lavishly

the mural on the ceiling also deeply ornamented

bright colours to satisfy the eye

feathery decorations again hot pink walls!

beautifully lit chandeliers

gold plated doors, herringbone pattered wooden floors
and marble walls

They are such beautifully decorated lavish spaces...
I believe it symbolises the epitome of excessive luxury living.
I wonder if they were happy living in this palace...

As for me, I think a small cottage with a wild garden will do :)
Hope you have a lovely week dearests

Unveiling Deweys in taking risks

Hello Deweyers :D
How do you do?
The other day I was thinking about the act of taking risks.
Maybe it's easier to take the safe route in life and plan out the future
then again maybe it's better to trust your instincts and take risks.
I'm actually not sure what the answer for living the best life is...
but I hope it will soon be revealed as time passes :)

Here are a few clips about taking risks,
this particular one is about taking risks for love :)
They're such beautiful scenes!

Nicole Kidman's voice is very delicate and beautiful methinks :)
I do hope your life is a luscious mix of spontaneous risk, gentle wisdom and thriving spirituality.
Have a wonderful weekend dear deweyers :)

Dewey Discovery in perfect timings

Hello Dearest Dearest Deweyer :)
Today is a very happy day for me, a moment in time I would like to cherish forever and ever.
I feel like a could skip and frolick for hours and hours.
A dream come true has happened and it is definately not everyday this happens to one's life!

The last few months has been really difficult,
there were times when I wanted to give up interior design
and start another career path altogether.
Doubtful thoughts kept filling my mind and I almost forgot
my love for buildings and interior spaces...
It felt like my life was put on halt, and what a horrible place it was.

But, alas.  I'm reminded once again, there is always a rainbow after the rain :)
I discovered that if we running and persevering for our dreams,
something good will always grow from it :)

This particular verse comes to mind...

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him,
who have been called according to His purpose. [Romans 8:28]

It's a peaceful feeling to know that my life is guided
by someone greater than the present, past or future.
Someone who loves me and knows what is best for me.
No matter where I am, I know that my life will always be in safe hands :)

Dewey Discoveries in Unexpected Happenings

Hello Deweyers,
Soon I will be entering my hometown in Sydney, I've missed it so much.
I came to Korea for another reason but a very unexpected incident happened
which has left much of the family in grief.
Alas, I will leave Korea with a feeling of uncertainty and anxiety
for the future of my aunt and cousin and me.

Life always has a way of making me stop and think :)
Whatever happens, I promised myself to not plan my life
but to live the best I can in each moment :)

this is my aunt's office, she is a shoe designer, although a little messy
I loved the studio-like space :)

This is a shoe factory I visited, the skills this man had
with leather was amazing :)

Look how soft and fluffy the snow looks!

It was so beautiful, I love snow so much!

So romantic~! (the snow, not me that is!)

Fluffy snow~!

Traditional Korean Restaurant :)

My beloved cousin and aunt :)

Hope you had a lovely week, it's new years for Korea today.
So Happy New Year!
